BATTERY BACKUP UNITS
Our range of battery backup units consists of the following:

How does it work?
These single or three phase units are directly connected to your main supply. While your power is on, the battery bank charges up. In the event of a power failure the transfer switch automatically transfers to the inverter or UPS which in turn, regulates the battery power. This switchover between city electricity and battery backup takes 0.8milliseconds. The electricity circuits or appliances connected to the unit will run normally off the battery power for up to 2-24 hours depending on load in watts and type of system used (Backup time can be increased by adding additional batteries) or until the electricity switches on again.
What can it run?
These units are used to supply the customer with backup power and not
to replace their power. The Inverters can run the following: television,
DSTV, DVD-player, small fridge or freezer, lights, computers and PABX
systems. An appliance that generates heat or with an element initially
draws a lot of power and it is not advised to connect these appliances
to dedicated circuits when the unit is connected.
The UPS systems are used with sensitive equipment such as computers, servers etc. providing the neccessary protection against power surges etc.
What is the Warranty?
The inverter or UPS is guaranteed 1 year, under the condition that it
is un tampered with.Due to the quantity and duration of power outages
experienced at present we have had to change our warranty policy for batteries.
Basically if the customer has used up the cycle life of the battery within
any part of the standard 12month warranty period then we do not replace
the battery under warranty, if the battery is defective, if there is a
manufacturer defect the battery will be replaced under the 12 month warranty.
